• Point-In-Time Date — users may select a “Point-In-Time Date” at the top of the page. This will allow a user to view legislation in force at a date selected.

• Legislation Notes — these notes —
  
  
  • indicates the number of the law and the year in which the law was enacted. For instance, "2018-0004" means that the Act was the fourth Act passed by Parliament in the year 2018. Similarly, in the case of subsidiary legislation, a notation of "2020-0001" means that the statutory instrument was the first to be made in the year 2020; and
    
    
  • provides the long title of the Act selected;

• Amendments and Subsidiary Legislation — by clicking on the "+" icon in this column, the subsidiary legislation and all of the amendments to the principal or subsidiary legislation will appear;

• Category — this Box indicates the legislation category of the law and any additional category details;

• Date Commenced or Repealed — these Boxes indicate —
  
  
  • the date on which the law or parts thereof came into force, also known as the "commencement date"; or
  • the date the law was repealed.

When hovering over the Box titled "Date Commenced", an additional note may appear stating —

• the number of any statutory instrument(s) bringing the Act or parts thereof into force;
• additional dates upon which various sections of the enactment or parts thereof came into force; or
• sections of the enactment or parts thereof that may not be in force at the time.

When hovering over the Box titled "Date Repealed", a note may appear stating the name and number of the repealing legislation.

In some instances, a law may not appear on this website and a notice to contact the Government Publications Department for a Gazetted copy will appear.
