BRITISH COLONIAL HOTEL (No. 2) |
An act to
authorise the public board of works for the Island of New Providence to sell a
lot of land situate in the City of Nassau in the Island of New Providence to
the Colonial Hotel Company. | 9 of 1940 |

1. This Act
may be cited as The British Colonial Hotel (No. 2) Act. | Short title. |
2. (1) It
shall be lawful for the Public Board of Works for the Island of New Providence
to sell the land described in the Schedule to this Act to the Colonial Hotel
Company Limited for the sum of Seven Hundred and Twenty-five Pounds (£725). | Authority to Board to sell
land. |
(2) To effect such
sale it shall be lawful for the said Board to convey the said land described in
the Schedule to this Act to the said Colonial Hotel Company Limited in fee
simple upon payment to the said Board of the sum of Seven Hundred and Twenty-five
Pounds (£725). |
SCHEDULE |
All
that piece or parcel of land situate on the North side of Marlborough Street in
the City of Nassau in the Island of New Providence bounded on the North partly
by the Hotel Nassau and partly by land the property of Glen Stewart and running
thereon jointly Sixty-two (62) feet on the East by the property known as "The
Brick Store" now belonging to The Sand Beach Company Limited, and running
thereon Fifty (50) feet on the South by Marlborough Street and running thereon
Sixty-two and One-half (622) feet and on the West by the grounds of the British
Colonial Hotel and running thereon Fifty (50) feet. |
