ISLAND MISSIONARY SOCIETY INCORPORATION

An Act to incorporate the Field Superintendent of the Island Missionary Society.

1. This Act may be cited as the Island Missionary Society Incorporation Act.

2. The Field Superintendent of the Island Missionary Society for the time being shall be deemed a corporation sole and shall be known and described as "Field Superintendent of the Island Missionary Society".

3. (1) The Field Superintendent of the Island Missionary Society shall have full power to acquire by purchase, transfer, donation, exchange, devise, bequest, grant, gift, conveyance or otherwise any real or personal property or any estate or interest therein.

(2) All real or personal property acquired under sub section (1) of this section shall be held for the use and benefit of the Island Missionary Society.

4. The Field Superintendent of the Island Missionary Society shall, subject to any restraint, reservation or condition contained in the document under which he shall have acquired title thereto be entitled to sell, mortgage, lease and otherwise dispose of and deal with all property which may for the time being be vested in or have been acquired by him under any of the provisions of this Act.

5. No change of the person holding the office of Field Superintendent of the Island Missionary Society shall affect any real or personal property or any estate or interest therein vested in the Field Superintendent of the Island Missionary Society but such property and estate and interest therein shall vest in the succeeding Field Superintendent of the Island Missionary Society in the same way and to the same extent that they vested in the former Field Superintendent of the Island Missionary Society.

6. The Field Superintendent of the Island Missionary Society shall have power to appoint an Attorney for such time and purposes with such powers as may be stated in the Power of Attorney.

7. The Reverend Paul D. Ford shall be deemed to be the present Field Superintendent of the Island Missionary Society.

8. All property in The Bahamas real or personal of what nature or kind soever which is now vested or held in any manner in trust for or for the use and benefit of the Island Missionary Society shall vest in and be held by the Field Superintendent of the Island Missionary Society.

9. Nothing in this Act shall prejudice or affect the rights of Her Majesty the Queen, Her Heirs and Successors or of any other person or persons except such as are mentioned in this Act and those claiming by, from, through or under them.
