CAT ISLAND AND SAN SALVADOR OR WATLINGS ISLAND NAMES |
An Act
relating to the names of the islands generally known as San Salvador and
Watlings Island. | 27 of 1926 |

1. This Act
may be cited as the Cat Island and San Salvador or Watlings Island Names Act. | Short title. |
2. From and
after the coming into force of the Act: | Renaming of Islands. |
(a) The Island
now generally known as San Salvador or Cat Island shall be called and referred
to as Cat Island; and |
(b) The Island
now generally known as Watlings Island shall be called and referred to as San
Salvador or Watlings Island. |
3. Wheresoever
in any Act, Order in Council or rule passed or official notice published before
the coming into force of this Act reference is made: | Reference in previous Acts,
etc. |
(a) To the
Island of San Salvador the same shall unless the context otherwise requires be
construed to mean Cat Island; and |
(b) to Watlings
or Watlings Island the same shall unless the context otherwise requires be
construed to mean San Salvador or Watlings Island. |
