PARADISE BEACH AND TRANSPORTATION COMPANY, LIMITED, REAL ESTATE

An Act to vest certain real estate in Paradise Beach and Transportation Company, Limited.

[Commencement 18th December, 1944]

WHEREAS a certain piece parcel or lot of land situate in the City of Nassau in the Island of New Providence hereinafter particularly described in the First Schedule hereto is vested in Paradise Beach and Transportation Company, Limited, subject to an estate in remainder therein now vested in the Treasurer subject to the disposition of the Legislature in accordance with the provisions of section 8 of the Companies Act.

AND WHEREAS a certain piece parcel or tract of land situate on the Island of Hog Island (which said Island lies immediately to the north of the said Island of New Providence) hereinafter particularly described in the Second Schedule hereto is vested in Paradise Beach and Transportation Company, Limited, subject to a possible estate in remainder now vested in the Treasurer subject to the disposition of the Legislature in accordance with the provision of section 8 of the Companies Act.

AND WHEREAS it is desirable that the said piece parcel or lot of land situate in the said City of Nassau and the said piece parcel or tract of land situate at the said Island of Hog Island shall vest in Paradise Beach and Transportation Company, Limited, and their assigns in fee simple.

1. This Act may be cited as the Paradise Beach and Transporation Company, Limited, Real Estate Act.

Short title.

2. From and after the coming into operation of this Act the lands referred to and described in the First and Second Schedules to this Act shall be and the same are hereby vested in Paradise Beach and Transportation Company, Limited, and their assigns in fee simple.

Vests certain lands in Paradise Beach and Transportation Company, Limited.

3. Nothing in this Act shall prejudice or affect the rights of His Majesty the King, his heirs and successors or of any body politic or corporate or of any person or persons except such as are mentioned in this Act and those claiming by or through or under them.

Saving.

FIRST SCHEDULE

All that piece parcel or lot of land situate in the City of Nassau in the Island of New Providence fronting to the west on George Street and bounded on the north by land formerly the property of the late Samuel H. C. Rae but now the property of Doctor Henry Mather Hare on the east by land lately the property of Alexander Martin Cunningham deceased and now the property of Victory Hall Corporation, Limited and on the south by land the property of the Incorporated Trustees of the Church of England in the Bahamas the said piece parcel or lot of land being more particularly described delineated and set out on the plan attached to an indenture made the Twenty-sixth day of April, A.D., 1938 between Hotel Nassau Company, Limited, of the one part and Paradise Beach and Transportation Company, Limited, of the other part and now of recrod in the Registry of Records in the City of Nassau in Book D 14 at pages 455 to 459.

SECOND SCHEDULE

All that piece or tract of land situate on the Island of Hog Island (which said Island lies immediately to the north of the said Island of New Providence) which said piece parcel or tract of land is bounded on the north by the sea on the east by a tract of land of one time reputed to belong to one John Kemp and now the property of Paradise Beach and Transportation Company, Limited on the south by the Harbour of Nassau and on the west by a tract of land known as "Saratoga" formerly the property of Florida East Coast Hotel Company and now the property of Arthur Vining Davis which said piece parcel or tract of land includes the entire peninsular and rocky headland which extends north and west into the sea the said piece parcel or tract of land being more particularly described delineated and set forth in that part which is coloured pink on the plan attached to an indenture made the twenty-sixth day of April, A.D., 1938 between Hotel Nassau Company, Limited, of the one part and Paradise Beach and Transportation Company, Limited, of the other part and now of record in the Registry of Records in the said City of Nassau in Book D 14 at pages 459 to 466.
