CHURCH OF GOD OF PROPHECY IN THE BAHAMAS INCORPORATION |
An Act to
incorporate the trustees of the Church of God of Prophecy in The Bahamas. | 1 of 1953 |

1. This Act
may be cited as the Church of God of Prophecy in the Bahamas Incorporation Act. | Short title. |
2. Alvin
Simon Moss, Martin Luther Rolle, Hermis Abiel Ferguson, Earnel Derrington
Adderley, Dexton John Brown and Huel Ferguson shall be deemed to be the present
Trustees of The Church of God of Prophecy in the Bahamas. | Present Trustees. |
3. The
Trustees of The Church of God of Prophecy in the Bahamas and their successors
in office shall be deemed to be a body corporate and have the name of The
Trustees of The Church of God of Prophecy in the Bahamas and by that name shall
have perpetual succession and shall have full power to purchases, take, hold, enjoy,
sell, grant, convey mortgage, lease, invest and otherwise deal with and dispose
of all property real and personal of what nature or kind soever vested in or
acquired by the said body corporate and may sue or be sued in all courts of the
Bahamas. | Present Trustees and their
successors in office to be a body corporate. |
4. All
property in the Bahamas real or personal of what nature or kind soever now
vested in or held in a manner by any person in trust for or for the use and
benefit of The Church of God of Prophecy in the Bahamas shall vest in and be
held by the said body corporate. | Vesting of property at
present held in trust. |
5. All
property real or personal of what nature of kind soever heretofore or hereafter
devised or bequeathed by will or otherwise given to The Church of God of
Prophecy in the Bahamas shall vest in and by held by and shall be deemed to be
the property of the said body corporate. | Vesting of property given
to the Church. |
6. All
property real or personal of what nature or kind soever vested in or acquired
by the said body corporate under this Act shall be held by the said body
corporate for the use and benefit of The Church of God of Prophecy in the
Bahamas. | Property acquired by
Trustees to be held for the use and benefit of the Church. |
7. Nothing
in this Act shall prejudice or affect the rights of Her Majesty the Queen, Her
Heirs and Successors or of any other person or persons except such as are
mentioned in this Act and those claiming by, from, through or under them. | Rights of the Queen and
others reserved. |
