MAN-OF-WAR CAY (ACQUISITION BY THE UNITED STATES) |
An Act to
enable the governor in council to lease to the United States of America a
certain portion of Man-of-War Cay, Exuma. | 1 of 1942

WHEREAS by virtue
of the Ordnance Lands Act a certain portion of the Cay known as Man-of-War
Cay lying off the northern shore of Great Exuma was conveyed to the Governor
for the use of the Colony: |
AND WHEREAS In
pursuance of the Agreement signed on the 27th March, 1941, between His Majesty's
Government in the United Kingdom and the United States of America, the United
States of America requires a lease of a portion of the said Cay: |
1. This Act may be
cited as the Man-of-War Cay (Acquisition by the United States) Act. |
2. It shall
be lawful for the Governor in Council to lease to the United States of America
that part of Man-of-War Cay situate and lying off the northern shore of Great
Exuma more particularly described in the Schedule to this Act. | Power of Governor in

SCHEDULE (Section 2) |
All
that portion of Man-of-War Cay off the northerly shore of
Great Exuma Island to the eastward of Elizabeth Harbour, lying north of an east
and west line which passes through a point 3,100 feet south of the survey
marker "Man" which is located in latitude 23 degrees 29 minutes 3.7
seconds North, longitude 75 degrees 41 minutes 24.5 seconds West. |
