CONSULAR RELATIONS
AND COMMONWEALTH OFFICERS

1. This
Order may be cited as the Jamaican Commissioner Order. | Citation. |
2. (1) The
privileges and immunities contained in Articles 41 to 52 inclusive of the
Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, as specified in section II of Chapter
II of the First Schedule to the Consular Relations and Commonwealth Officers
Act, are hereby conferred upon- | Privileges and immunities of Commissioner and staff. |
(a) the person
in the service of the Government of Jamaica for the time being holding the
office of Commissioner of that Government in The Bahamas; |
(b) the members
of the staff of the said Commissioner. |
(2) The provisions
contained in Articles 31 to 39 inclusive of the Vienna Convention aforesaid, as
specified in section I of chapter II of the First Schedule to the said Act are
hereby extended in relation to the premises, official archives, communications,
documents and the personal property of the Commissioner for the time being of
the Government of Jamaica in The Bahamas and of the members of his staff. |
