SLANDER
An Act relating to the law of slander.
[Commencement 23rd August, 1909]
1. This Act may be cited as the Slander Act.
Short title.
2. Words spoken and published of any person imputing adultery, unchastity, fornication, incest, incontinence or drunkenness shall be actionable without proof of special damage:
Slander actionable without proof of special damage in certain cases.
Provided that in any such action the plaintiff shall not receive more costs than damages, unless the court shall certify that there was reasonable ground for bringing the action.
