CHAPTER 61

ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE EXPENSES

An Act to authorise payment of certain expenses in connection with the due administration of justice.

[Commencement 14th April, 1897]

1. This Act may be cited as the Administration of Justice Expenses Act.

Short title.

2. Whenever in the opinion of the Attorney-General it may be necessary in furtherance of the ends of justice to incur any expense in the employment of professional men, or in payment of rewards, or otherwise, it shall be lawful for the Governor-General by warrant in the usual manner to direct the payment out of the Consolidated Fund of all expenses incurred for any of the purposes aforesaid:

Expenses in connection with the due administration of justice authorised.

Provided that a Stipendiary and Circuit Magistrate may when he considers the circumstances so require engage the services of an interpreter or interpreters without reference to the Attorney-General.
