THE TUGS AND TENDERS |
(FEES) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 2003 |
The Minister, in exercise of the
powers conferred by section 25 of the Port Authorities Act, makes the following
Order - |
1. This Order may be cited as
the Tugs and Tenders (Fees) (Amendment) Order, 2003. | Citation. |
2. Paragraph 13 of the Schedule
to the Tugs and Tenders (Fees) Order is amended - | Amendment of Schedule to Sub. Leg.
Vol. IV, Ch. 269-14. |
(a) by the deletion of subparagraph
(1) and the substitution therefor of the following - |
"(1) Assisting ships to and from
dock for each service in respect of - |

a ship of less than 5,000 gross tons :

(b)
|
a ship of 5,000 gross tons or more but less than
7,000 gross tons :

at Clifton Pier, South-west New Providence, involving - |

a tug of 3,500 h.p. or less the fees shall be

(b)

a tug of more than 3,500 h.p. the fees shall

|
|
(6) Lay Time (Standing by but not
being used) |

$500.00 per hr

(7)
|
For leasing of the government tugs, the fees
payable shall be twenty-five cents per gross ton on services supplied on
ships up to 10,000 gross tons ; any additional tonnage (exceeding 10,000
gross tons) shall be charged at an additional rate of fifteen cents per gross
ton provided that the minimum charge for each and every twenty four hours or
part thereof
