THE RULES OF THE SUPREME COURT |
(AMENDMENT) RULES, 2002 |
The Rules Committee in exercise
of the powers conferred by section 76 of the Supreme Court Act makes the
following rules - |
1.(1) These Rules which amend the
Rules of the Supreme Court may be cited as the Rules of the Supreme Court
(Amendment) Rules, 2002. | Citation and commencement. Sub. Leg. Vol. II, pg. 531. |
(2) These Rules shall come into
force on the 1st day of January, 2003. |
2. Paragraph (1) and the proviso
of rule 1 of Order 62 is revoked and replaced by the following - | Amendment of Order 62 of Sub. Leg.
Vol. II, pg. 531. |
“(1) Unless the nature of the document renders it
impracticable, every document prepared by a party for use in the Supreme Court
must be on paper of durable quality, 11 inches long by 8½ inches wide or A4 ISO
having a margin, not less than than 1 inches wide to be left blank on the left
side of the face of the paper and on the right side of the reverse.”. |
3. Notwithstanding the
revocation of paragraph (1) of rule 1 of Order 62, the said paragraph shall
continue to have full force and effect until the 31st day of
December, 2003. | Transitional. |
