THE FISHERIES RESOURCES (JURISDICTION AND |
CONSERVATION) (DECLARATION OF |
PROTECTED AREA) ORDER, 2006 |
The Minister, in exercise of the
powers conferred by section 13 of the Fisheries Resources (Jurisdiction and
Conservation) Act, makes the following Order - |
1. This Order may be cited as
the Fisheries Resources (Jurisdiction and Conservation) (Declaration of
Protected Area) Order, 2006. | Citation |
2. The cay, known as ‘High Cay’
and surrounding waters, located to the south of Andros Town and to the north of
Bowen's Sound, Central Andros, and on the western side of the Tongue of the
Ocean and enclosed in the north by latitude 24 degrees 40 N, to the east by
longitude 77 degrees 40.8 W to the south by latitude 24 degrees 37.8 N and to
the west by longitude 77 degrees 44 W are hereby declared to be a protected

3. The cay known as ‘High Cay’
and its surrounding waters as described in paragraph (2) are closed to all
fishing activities from the 1st day of November, 2005 to the 31st
day of March, 2006. | Dates of closure to all fishing
activities. |
4. The Fisheries Resources
(Jurisdiction and Conservation) (Declaration of Protected Area) Order 2005 is
hereby revoked. | Revocation. S.I. No. 107 of 2005. |
