DEVELOPMENT ENCOURAGEMENT ACT,

1.(1) This Act, which amends the
Family Islands Development Encouragement Act, 1997 may be cited as the Family
Islands Development Encouragement (Amendment) Act, 2002. | Short title and commencement. No. 14 of 1997. |
(2) This Act shall be deemed to
have come into force on the 1st day of July, 2002. |
2. Subsection (2) of section 3A
of the principal Act is amended by the deletion of the words "two years
and six months" and the words "30th June 2002" and
the substitution therefor of the words "three years and six months"
and the words "30th June, 2003" respectively. | Amendment of section 3A of the
principal Act. |
3. Subsection (2) of section 4
of the principal Act is amended by the deletion of the words "five
years" and the words "30th June, 2002" and the
substitution therefor of the words "six years" and "30th
day of June, 2003" respectively. | Amendment of section 4 of the
principal Act. |
